We’d like to share an important insight today from Brett Melvin, Executive Director of the workforce development program Bridging America’s Gap:
“Too often, young people do not learn about the opportunities that are available to them within the trade skills industries while they are still in high school. This means the over 30% of students who do not pursue post-secondary education leave high school with no idea of their next step, the excellent opportunities that are available to them in the trade skill industries, or even how to identify those opportunities. We need a coordinated national focus on workforce development that trains and helps connect students with employers.”
