President Trump: “Let us invest in workforce development and job training”

Americans from coast to coast are ready and willing to get the job done. Now, it’s time for them to be able.

The U.S. Department of Labor reports that there are 5.9 million job openings that employers are seeking to fill and 6.7 million individuals unable to find work. Opportunities abound.

During his State of the Union, President Donald J. Trump raised the issue, saying, “As tax cuts create new jobs, let us invest in workforce development and job training. Let us open great vocational schools so our future workers can learn a craft and realize their full potential.”

Career and technical education provide on-the-job learning and classroom education from experts steeped with knowledge of their field.

Expanding career education, just as the President discussed, will put workers at the forefront of the global economy and make America’s workforce a leader again.
